Loyalty Loan

(formerly known as the Hassle-Free Loan)

Overview

The Hassle-Free Loan is our most popular product and as a result, we are proud to thank our loyal members by renaming it the Loyalty Loan. Throughout the year, we offer the Loyalty Loan for $700 - $1,350* based on our member’s loyalty and commitment to TEFCU. The current loan limit is $700.

The Loyalty Loan is available to members 24 hours, 7 days a week.

  • Consistent direct deposit
  • Savings of $350 or more
  • Ensuring funds are available for payment

* The higher Loyalty Loan amount only applies during special promotions, which will be announced to members.

How to Apply

  1. Log into Online Banking by going to www.tefcu.org and entering your Online Banking ID. Select Login
     
  2. Enter your password and click on Submit. If you do not know your password, select Reset Password
     
  3. Select the Services/Loans tab. 
     
  4. Loyalty Loan will appear under the Services/Loans tab. Select Continue to proceed. 
     
  5. You will be prompted to acknowledge if you are an active member of the military. If the answer to this question is no, proceed to step 6. If the answer to this question is yes, please contact TEFCU at (202) 832-5100, opt. 1 for further assistance. 
     
  6. After proceeding, the Loyalty Loan requirements will appear for your review before proceeding with the application. If you have read and acknowledged the requirements, select Accept. Otherwise, select Cancel
     
  7. An electronic version of the Loan and Security Agreement will display after acceptance of the requirements. If you have reviewed and agreed to the terms and conditions of this loan, you must check the box that states, I have read and agree to the terms and conditions
     
  8. After the terms and conditions box has been checked, the page will expand and to proceed, you must select the Click here to Continue button. Please note: selecting this button will give you an option to print this agreement immediately. By default, you will also receive a copy of this via email. 
     
  9. Once the button has been selected, the page will expand. You will have the option to choose the share you would like the nonrefundable application fee to be withdrawn from, as well as the share you would like the loan funds to be deposited into. Once both share types have been selected, select Submit. Please note: selecting Submit is the final step in the application before the loan is funded. You will not be able to cancel the application once this has been submitted. 
     
  10. After submitting the application, you will see a completion page. This page will display a summary of the loan that was disbursed along with a breakdown of where the proceeds were deposited.
