Virginia Branch Closure
In light of the changing landscape, we will permanently close our Virginia branch effective Friday, August 4, 2023. The last day of operation for the Virginia branch will be Friday, August 4, 2023. With your support, TEFCU continues to thrive and grow while withstanding and embracing change. We developed and enhanced our technology for many years to bring our members a virtual banking experience that rivals larger financial institutions and creates efficiencies. As a result, we observed a preference for self-service options as an increasing number of members utilized our digital tools and services versus the number of in-branch visits.
TEFCU’s Dakota Crossing branch, located approximately 15 miles from the Virginia branch, will remain the hub for in-branch services. Additionally, nearly 30 shared branches are 3 to 15 miles from the Virginia branch. TEFCU members can make withdrawals and deposits at participating shared branches.
Most of TEFCU’s products and services are offered through Mobile and Online Banking. These convenient features put more time into your day, eliminating the need to visit a branch. In addition, we are continuously working towards making additional services available virtually. Below is an overview of some of the available digital features.
Mobile and Online Banking Digital Tools
Loan Payoff - View your current loan payoff amount by selecting "Loan Payoff."
Statements and Documents - View statements and other account documents on TEFCU Mobile by selecting your account, then select "Documents."
Open an Account - Open a share certificate, checking, money market, or special savings account by selecting “Add an Account”, then select "Open an Account."
Apply for a Loan - Apply for a Signature loan, Auto loan, Credit Card, Home Equity Line of Credit, and more by selecting "Apply for a Loan." Apply for a Loyalty Loan or Buy Now, Pay Later Loan by selecting "Loyalty Loan/BNPL."
Update your Contact Information - Conveniently update your address, email address, and phone numbers by selecting "Settings", then select your name.
Bill Pay - Access and use Bill Pay by selecting "Pay." You must be enrolled in Bill Pay to use this feature.
Remote Deposit Anywhere (RDA) - Deposit a check from anywhere by selecting "Deposit a Check." RDA is only a feature of Mobile Banking.
Member-to-Member Transfer - Complete a member-to-member transfer and deposit funds into another member’s TEFCU account by selecting "Member Transfer."
Credit Score - Utilize our credit monitoring tool to review your credit information by selecting "Credit Score" from the menu.
Check Reorder - Reorder checks by selecting your checking account, then select "Check Reorder" and follow the instructions.
Travel Notices - Conveniently submit a travel notice by selecting "Travel Notices" and filling out the requested information.
Account Alerts - Set up account alerts such as balance alerts, share/loan opening alerts, and more by selecting "Account Alerts."
MessagePay - Make a deposit or loan payment by selecting dashboard, navigating to "MessagePay," and selecting "Click Here."
Card Management - Temporarily block/unblock your card and report your card lost/stolen when you need to by selecting an eligible account, then select “Card management.”
