Dormant Account

We miss your business!
What to do if your account has become dormant….

At TEFCU, we want to maintain an active relationship with you. Your ongoing business at TEFCU is very important to us. If our records indicate that your account has become dormant, you can reactivate your account by making a deposit, withdrawal or by using TEFCU’s Account Reactivation Form. The Account Reactivation Form should be faxed to (202) 832-3491 or mailed to TEFCU at 2000 Bladensburg Road NE, Washington DC 20018 to our Member Services Department. For additional information, please contact us at (202) 832-5100.

Please take this opportunity to reacquaint yourself with TEFCU, while visiting our site. We offer many products and services that will assist you in meeting your financial needs, including low interest auto loans, home equity loans, Money Market accounts, and much more!

Note: It is TEFCU’s policy to charge a $5 monthly fee for any dormant account, which is an account that has not had any activity, such as a deposit or a withdrawal for more than three years. When accounts are inactive for three years or more they are considered dormant. At that point, TEFCU is required by law to turn over the funds to the Unclaimed Property Unit of the state in which you reside.
