Scholarship Opportunities

TEFCU is pleased to announce a college scholarship opportunity that may make it easier for you to make your dream of higher education a reality.

We have teamed up with the Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC that sponsors the Credit Union College Scholarship Program with $11,000 worth of scholarships. The Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC will award ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships and one $1,000 video-based scholarship to the winning applicants in May of every year.

You know that personal financial education is important. How can your credit union help you become financially literate?

Eligibility:
Any member of a Maryland or District of Columbia based credit union, entering their freshmen through senior year of college, may apply.

Non-winners’ applications of the Credit Union College Scholarship Program sponsored by the Credit Union Foundation of MD & DC will be sent to our Marketing Department to be reviewed for a possible award from our traditional TEFCU scholarship. Student must be a member of TEFCU and in good standing to be eligible for possible award from our traditional TEFCU scholarship program.
